About the event

Based in McLaren Vale, Little Acre Foods is the brainchild of former chef Jim Casey. Join us for an exclusive sausage and bacon making session at our kitchen on Chalk Hill Road, where we hand-craft pâtés, rillettes, terrines and smallgoods. Each guest will take home some sausages and bacon along with some other delicious offerings from the Little Acre coolrooms! We use whole, ethically-sourced ingredients and we treat them with respect, using traditional methods to transform quality local produce into our popular range. The pig for the day will be sourced from our friends at Beachport Berkshires along the Limestone Coast. We will guide you through breaking down the pig, sausage making, bacon curing and smoking. The day will conclude with a grazing board featuring Little Acre charcuterie and local cheeses, our famous toasties and local wine tastings. We have a limited capacity of 8 people per session. The day will start at 8:30am and conclude at around 1:30pm.
