Ticket Terms and Conditions

Thank you for purchasing a ticket to a Fleurieu Food Festival event.

By purchasing, holding, transferring or using a ticket for any Fleurieu Food Festival event, you agree to these Ticket Terms and Conditions.

Please read them carefully before purchasing tickets or attending an event.

1. Acceptance of Ticket Terms

By purchasing, receiving, transferring or using a ticket for any Fleurieu Food Festival event, experience, accommodation package, workshop, masterclass, dinner, tasting, tour, market, activation or associated activity, you agree to these Ticket Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not purchase a ticket or attend the event.

2. About Fleurieu Food Festival

Fleurieu Food Festival is a month-long regional festival delivered across multiple venues and locations throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.

Many events promoted through Fleurieu Food Festival are independently owned and operated by participating businesses, venues and event organisers.

Fleurieu Food Festival may act as:

  • Festival coordinator

  • Marketing and promotional platform

  • Ticketing platform provider

  • Event promoter

Depending on the event.

Individual event organisers remain responsible for the delivery of their event, venue operations, food and beverage service, staffing, licensing and event execution.

3. Ticket Purchase

3.1 Valid Tickets

Entry is only permitted with a valid ticket purchased through an approved ticketing platform.

Tickets may be delivered electronically and must be presented upon arrival.

Tickets may be presented:

  • On a mobile device

  • As a printed ticket

  • Through an approved ticketing application

3.2 Pricing

Ticket prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Booking fees, transaction fees or ticketing fees may apply and will be displayed during checkout where applicable.

All prices include GST where required by law.

4. Event Specific Terms

Certain events may have additional terms, including:

  • Age restrictions

  • Dietary requirements

  • Accessibility requirements

  • Accommodation conditions

  • Tour participation requirements

  • Transport requirements

  • Safety requirements

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to any additional conditions imposed by the event organiser.

Where there is inconsistency between these Ticket Terms and event-specific conditions, the event-specific conditions will prevail.

5. Ticket Holder Responsibilities

Ticket holders are responsible for:

  • Ensuring booking details are correct

  • Arriving at the correct venue

  • Arriving at the correct time

  • Reviewing any event updates issued before the event

  • Advising organisers of dietary requirements where requested

  • Ensuring they meet any age, health or participation requirements

Failure to attend an event does not entitle a ticket holder to a refund.

6. Refund Policy

6.1 General Refund Policy

Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, refunds will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect bookings

  • Personal circumstances

  • Illness

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Work commitments

  • Travel delays

  • Accommodation issues

  • Transport disruptions

  • Weather conditions where the event proceeds

  • Failure to read event details prior to purchase

6.2 Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the event organiser.

Supporting documentation may be requested.

Approval is not guaranteed.

6.3 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Ticket Transfers

Unless otherwise stated by the event organiser:

  • Tickets may be transferred to another person prior to the event.

  • The original purchaser remains responsible for ensuring ticket details are updated correctly.

Tickets must not be transferred after the event has commenced.

8. Ticket Resale and Scalping

Tickets must not be:

  • Resold at a premium

  • Auctioned

  • Used for commercial gain

  • Offered through unauthorised resale platforms

Fleurieu Food Festival and event organisers reserve the right to cancel tickets that have been resold in breach of these conditions.

Cancelled tickets may be invalidated without refund.

9. Event Changes

Fleurieu Food Festival and participating event organisers reserve the right to:

  • Change venues

  • Change event dates

  • Modify event times

  • Alter menus

  • Change speakers, chefs, presenters or entertainers

  • Adjust event capacities

  • Modify event inclusions

  • Substitute advertised products or experiences

Such changes do not automatically entitle ticket holders to a refund.

Reasonable efforts will be made to notify ticket holders of significant changes.

10. Event Cancellation

10.1 Event Organiser Cancellation

If an event is cancelled by the organiser and is not rescheduled, ticket holders will be notified regarding available refund, credit or transfer options.

10.2 Event Postponement

If an event is postponed:

  • Tickets may automatically transfer to the new date.

  • Alternative arrangements may be offered by the organiser.

Details will be communicated directly to ticket holders.

11. Conditions of Entry

Entry may be refused or revoked where a person:

  • Is intoxicated

  • Appears under the influence of illegal substances

  • Behaves aggressively

  • Harasses other attendees

  • Damages property

  • Refuses lawful directions

  • Breaches venue policies

  • Breaches these Ticket Terms

Removal from an event due to a breach of conditions will not entitle the attendee to a refund.

12. Responsible Service of Alcohol

Many Fleurieu Food Festival events involve the service of alcohol.

Attendees acknowledge that:

  • Valid identification may be required.

  • Alcohol service may be refused in accordance with liquor licensing laws.

  • Event organisers reserve the right to remove intoxicated patrons.

Accepted forms of identification include:

  • Australian Driver Licence

  • Proof of Age Card

  • Passport

13. Photography and Videography

By attending any Fleurieu Food Festival event, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Photographs, video recordings and audio recordings may be captured.

  • Images and recordings may be used for marketing, promotional, tourism, media, editorial and archival purposes.

  • Material may be used across websites, social media, print publications and advertising.

No compensation will be payable for the use of such material.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify the organiser before the event.

While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate requests, exclusion from all incidental capture cannot be guaranteed.

By tagging Fleurieu Food Festival, participating events or using official festival hashtags, you grant permission for your content to be shared across official festival channels.

14. Health and Safety

Attendees acknowledge that participation in festival events may involve risks including:

  • Food and beverage consumption

  • Alcohol consumption

  • Outdoor conditions

  • Rural and farm environments

  • Uneven surfaces

  • Cooking activities

  • Workshops

  • Tours

  • Transportation services

  • Physical activity

Participation is undertaken at the attendee's own risk.

Attendees are responsible for assessing their own suitability to participate.

15. Dietary Requirements and Allergens

Event organisers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements where advised in advance.

However:

  • Dietary requests cannot be guaranteed.

  • Cross-contamination may occur.

  • Allergens may be present.

Attendees with allergies or dietary requirements participate at their own risk and should communicate directly with the event organiser where necessary.

16. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fleurieu Food Festival, Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism, participating event organisers, venues, sponsors, contractors, volunteers, suppliers and partners are not liable for:

  • Personal injury

  • Illness

  • Property damage

  • Lost or stolen items

  • Travel disruptions

  • Accommodation issues

  • Event dissatisfaction

  • Third-party services

  • Food or beverage consumption

Participation in any event is undertaken entirely at the attendee's own risk.

17. Force Majeure

Events may be cancelled, postponed, modified or relocated due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Extreme weather

  • Bushfire

  • Flood

  • Natural disaster

  • Pandemic

  • Public health emergency

  • Government restrictions

  • Venue closures

  • Utility failures

  • Industrial action

Refunds, credits or transfers will be determined by the event organiser in accordance with applicable law.

Fleurieu Food Festival is not liable for any associated travel, accommodation or incidental costs incurred by attendees.

18. Governing Law

These Ticket Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia.

Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

19. Amendments

Fleurieu Food Festival may amend these Ticket Terms and Conditions at any time.

The most current version will be available on the official festival website.

Continued use of tickets or attendance at festival events constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
